Meet the Maker - The Burren Smokehouse - Friday lunchtime - 18th June

June is looking like a bit of a Burren Bonanza. As well as St Tola being our cheese of the month, Birgitta from the Burren Smokehouse will be giving samples of her wonderful smoked fish at Rua in a few weeks time. Her 'hot' smoked salmon has proved to be incredibly popular seller in both cafes and in Rua delicatessen. Come and see what all the fuss is about on Friday 18th June...

Father's Day Hamper - Sunday June 21st

Poor Dad. Father's day can be a bit of a non event compared to the Maternal celebrations of March . Unlike Mammy, Dad doesn't really want a 'lovely card', but if you do remember him this year, why not drop into the delicatessen and grab any of the following: (or get the lot in one of our hampers - we can make them look man-ly, y'know)... A seriously good bottle of wine or port, a lump of Carrowholly cheese, some Rua Chutney and Gubbeen oatcakes, Meat by Hugh Fearnley Whitingstall, Grill tongs for the barbeque, Lots of seeds for his new veg patch that he doesn't know he's planting yet...
