Mother's Day - March 14th

We've got any amount of great ideas for treating the Mammy this Mother's Day. Come in to the delicatessen and we'll help put together a hamper full of treats that she'll love. We've also got some other non edible presents like Bunbury chopping boards, a wide selection of cook books (see below), Rua shopping bags and our gift vouchers can be also used in both cafes and the delicatessen. Even though bookings for lunch on Sunday 14th are filling up fast, you can always have a look at our takeout menus and perhaps put together a delicious meal at home.

COOKBOOK OF THE MONTH
Keeping with the Paddy's day theme, we're nominating Darina Allen's Irish Traditional Cooking as our March cookbook of the month. We've yet to find a better publication to celebrate all that's best in traditional Irish cookery. As well as a source of countless delicious recipes like Parsnip cakes with crispy bacon, Mussel soup and apple fritters, it's got definitive recipes for all the classics like champ, soda bread, barm bracks, beef stew and colcannon. With a fascinating introduction from historian Regina Sexton, it's a great gift for anyone with even a passing interest in Irish food.
