Please visit our stand in the food tent at the excellent FEILE na TUAITHE festival on Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th on the grounds of the Museum of Country life at Turlough house. It's a great family day out and we'll be there with everything from Brownies and Bakewells to delicious salads and Irish Strawberries.

Cheese of the Month: Brie de Meaux

This delicious French cheese is made from raw cow's milk and at it's best for eating from May through to September. The process of making the cheese uses over 25 liters of milk to make a large 2.8 kg cheese, resulting in an unforgetable creamy textutre. Now available for the first time at Rua and 10% off for May.

We've be long term fans of Ottolenghi's inspirational weekly column in The Guardian newspaper, and it's great to get our mits on his second book, the aptly named 'Plenty'. Full of wonderful salads , and a fresh, original approach to assembling ingredients, 'Plenty' is one of the most exciting food books of the year, and a must have for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

Night time.

We're continuing to run our last Friday of the month evenings upstairs at Spencer Street. We've a few seats left for our May night, and now also taking bookings for Friday June 25th. It's a great night with a three course set menu, celebrating lots of delicious local ingredients. Have a look at a sample menu on our website.
