Rua 1st Birthday pictures.
Thanks to everyone who made it along for our 1st birthday celebrations on a
cold , wet Sunday last month. We’ve had great feedback about Sean Kelly’s Rib of beef in the café and everyone loved the many samples from suppliers like Connemara smokehouse, Woodcock Smokery, Sheridan’s cheeses and meats and Searson’s wines. Thanks also to Blake’s Chocolate , Mella’s fudge and Luscombe organic drinks for keeping all the young ‘un’s happy.

Bag it up...
Our robust and durable new shopping bags are now for sale at both branches of
Rua/Café Rua. Made from natural and organic cotton fabrics, they hold a whole lot of shopping and they’re also available as a filled hamper for Christmas. We had a huge amount of entries for our filled shopper last month. Congratulations to our winner: Greg Barry! |

COOKBOOK OF THE MONTH
Meat
by Hugh Fearnley - Whittingstall - again...
The bible according to Hugh, and that's authority enough for us.
Beautifully writtten, and quite simply the definitve guide to cooking meat in all it's forms - Roasting, barbeque, meat thrift, how to buy well, cuts of all animals - this book will be a friend in your kitchen forever. Great gift, but hard to give away once you've bought it!
