Good Food Ireland Award Winner
Maybe we've been banging on about this too much, but we're really very proud.
Last month, we were honoured to bring back to Mayo Good Food Ireland's award for Best Newcomer 2009. As ever, thanks to all our customers for your loyal support throughout the year and our hard working staff in both Spencer street and New Antrim street. It's a party. Lots of delicious free samples of our own new products like foccacia, carrot cake and banana bread as well as tasters from many of our suppliers in the delicatessen. Upstairs, we'll be serving Sunday lunch from 12 p.m until 4 p.m...

Great dishes like spiced pumpkin soup and butternut squash, ryefield goats cheese and chard tarts in the café Our delicatessen will be selling delicious Squash muffins and we'll also have a limited supply of our own Barm Bracks for the last few weeks of October.

The bible according to Hugh, and that's authority enough for us.
Beautifully writtten, and quite simply the definitve guide to cooking meat in all it's forms - Roasting, barbeque, meat thrift, how to buy well, cuts of all animals - this book will be a friend in your kitchen forever. Great gift, but hard to give away once you've bought it!

Our really well made and strong new shopping bags will be available to buy in a couple of weeks. They make a great gift and can be used as a hamper filled with lots of fantastic stuff from the delicatessen.

NIGHT TIME
Dinner dates We're continuing to run our last Friday of the month evenings upstairs at Spencer Street. We've a few seats left for our October night, and now also taking bookings for Friday November 27th. It's a great night with a three course set menu, celebrating lots of delicious local ingredients. Have a look at a sample menu on our website. Booking is essential, so please call Colleen on 094 928 6072 if you'd like to reserve a table.
